Online therapy for anxiety disorders
Support for anxiety disorders: consultation and therapy within a CBT framework. Damian Rutkiewicz, psychologist. Online and in person in Wrocław.
When anxiety restricts everyday life
Persistent worry, tension or avoiding situations that feel threatening can be reasons to seek a consultation. There is no need to identify a specific disorder independently. We explore when anxiety arises and how it affects everyday functioning.
How does a CBT approach work?
Following the initial consultation, we develop a case formulation. We explore connections between situations, thoughts, emotions and behaviour. We then agree goals and select a protocol and techniques suited to the identified difficulties and the patient’s capacity. We regularly discuss progress and areas requiring further work.
The wider picture
Anxiety may coexist with other difficulties, including ADHD or depression. We do not assume a single cause in advance. Our shared understanding draws on conversation, personal history and appropriately selected assessment tools.
The initial consultation
It can help to prepare examples of particularly challenging situations and questions about working together. The session provides an opportunity to discuss needs and agree next steps. Consultations are offered online and in person in Wrocław. Fees, appointment types and availability can be checked before booking.
